These important events not only help generate necessary funds for the Highlander Fund each year, but they are extremely rewarding opportunities for fellowship among families within the KDS community.
Ditto is an upscale resale store for the entire family, offering clothing and home goods. Founded and operated by the Christian School Association of St. Louis (CSASL), 90% of the profits at Ditto go toward tuition remission at Kirk Day School and the other founding schools.
Ditto depends upon volunteers from the CSASL schools to operate. Kirk Day School is responsible for suppling Ditto with these essential volunteers one week per quarter. These volunteer hours translate into direct profit for KDS resulting in $50 earned specifically for KDS by every volunteer hour!
KDS has a donation bin outside the West gym door where you may conveniently drop off gently used clothing and household items to be transported to Ditto. If you have larger furniture pieces to donate, contact Anita Chimento to coordinate a home pickup.
Ditto has a wide selection of upscale items including a rack with gently used uniforms from Kirk Day School and Westminster. We think you will be surprised at what a wide selection of nice items at a reasonable cost are available!
KDS families, faculty, friends, and alumni gather together each fall for day of fitness, fun, food and fundraising. Students seek sponsors for the 1-mile or 2-mile run to help raise money for the Highlander Fund.
Students ran through blasts of color along the run as they practiced the importance of physical fitness and raised over $30,000 in racer sponsorships. In addition to the run, attendees also enjoyed fun music, outrageous bubbles from Bubble Bus, face painters, balloon artists, and food trucks.
