Each year Shakespeare Festival St. Louis entertains our students with one of their fabulous performances. This year the play is titled, “A Most Outrageous Fit of Madness” which is a new play inspired by Shakespeare’s original “The Comedy of Errors.” Bring the entire family to attend this free performance.
The Kirk Parent Organization (KPA) schedules a fun filled day for the KDS faculty and staff centered around a festive theme. The teachers enjoy dressing up and enjoying activities, snacks, treats, and gifts all designed to make them feel loved and appreciated.
Please join us in celebration of our 25th anniversary at “Tartan & Thistle” a Kirk Day School Gala Event. This festive dinner and auction will be held at 6:30pm on April 20, 2018 at the Missouri Athletic Club’s downtown location.
We are excited about coming together as a community to celebrate how uniquely yet perfectly we have each been created in God’s image. Join us at 9:40am for a special all-school chapel followed by special activities and events designed specifically for our 2nd and 5th grade students.
The KDS Early Childhood Department hosts a wonderful morning for children in PreSchool, PreKindergarten, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten to share with their mothers. Students treat their mothers like royalty by serving them tea and tasty treats while showing them around their classroom, sharing some songs and games, and making a fun craft project together. Each mother receives a special craft memento of their child’s early childhood years to treasure.
Please join us for a great night of celebration! We take time to share with parents and friends some amazing exhibits, projects, and performances that show how we have explored God's world throughout the year. Students and families arrive at 6:00pm to view student projects in the classrooms. Following a brief parent meeting in the Kirk Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m., students in 1st-3rd grade will perform the Spring Concert.
Students participate in Dress Up Days each day of Highlander Spirit Week to earn points for their house (Lundean, Kinnear, or McFarland)! Spirit Days are brought to you by the class of 2018. The winning house is announced at the conclusion of the Highlander Games on May 18.
The Highlander Games is the KDS version of a traditional field day but way more fun! Students enjoy obstacle courses, dunking booths, water balloon fights, and more games and highland shenanigans than can be listed here. You will have to sign-up to volunteer to see what all the hype is about!
Please join the KDS family to celebrate the acheivements of our Sixth Graders at Commencement on Thursday evening, May 24, at 7:00 p.m. in The Kirk Sanctuary. A reception for the graduates and their families as well as the entire faculty and staff will immediately follow the ceremony in the KDS gymnasium.
