Get Connected & Serve

When you get connected to the school by volunteering, you and your child benefit.

Our Kirk Parent Association provides support to Kirk Day School by keeping parents informed & connected, while also coordinating important volunteer opportunities for parents to serve the school.

How does the KPA support the mission of Kirk Day School?

1.

Provide monetary support to KDS by volunteering at Ditto & helping to plan events like Community Week & our annual Spring Fundraiser.

2.

Provide volunteer support to KDS through our vast network of parent volunteers. This support includes focused help like Room Parents, party helpers, and field trip drivers.

3.

Plan community events for our school families like
Popsicles in the Park, Room Parent Nights Out, Parent Coffees, Grandparents Day, Thanksgiving Feast, and Early Childhood Christmas Concert.

KPA Programs

Ditto

Ditto is an upscale resale store, offering clothing and home goods. Founded and operated by the Christian Schools Association of St. Louis (CSASL), 90% of the profits at Ditto go toward tuition remission at Kirk Day School and the other founding schools.

Ditto depends on volunteers from CSASL schools to operate. Kirk Day School is responsible for suppling Ditto with these essential volunteers two weeks per semester. These volunteer hours translate into direct profit for KDS resulting in $214 earned specifically for KDS by every volunteer hour! Volunteers also receive 20% off all purchases on the day they volunteer.

Room Parents

KDS room parents help build community between classroom parents, students and teachers while communicating available serving opportunities to parents. The KPA provides a $50 budget to each classroom for room moms to use at their discretion throughout the school year. Room parents plan and coordinate classroom events, send email reminders to volunteers, and help out with field trips.
