• What is Ditto? Ditto is an upscale resale store founded by the Christian Schools Association of St. Louis. 90% of their profits are donated to tuition remission at local Christian schools including Kirk Day School. Ditto depends on volunteers from schools to operate.

    Why is it important? Volunteer hours at Ditto translate into direct profit for Kirk Day School. KDS is responsible for supplying Ditto with volunteers two weeks per semester. During shifts, you will assist with processing clothing, straightening the sales floor, and working the dressing rooms. Volunteers can sign up for one or multiple shifts.

    Time Commitment: 2 hours per shift

Helping Hands

Helping Hands supports the Kirk Parent Association with community needs throughout the year. This is a great way to get involved if you do not have the capacity to join a volunteer committee. Helping Hands volunteers will be added to a group message where KPA members will occasionally ask for addition help during a volunteer event or donating drinks/snacks.

Time Commitment: Minimal. Dependent on need.

Lunch Room Helper

Volunteers are needed to help serve in the lunchroom. The biggest priority is assisting Nourish employees with plating and distributing lunches to our students on Wednesdays. This is a great way to serve teachers by giving them a break from their lunchroom duties.

Time commitment: 2 hour per shift (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM)

Room Parent

Room parents help build community between classroom parents, students, and teachers. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating classroom events, sending email reminders to volunteers, and helping out with field trips. Parent volunteers are selected before the start of a new school year.

Time Commitment: Full school year

What is Kirk Parent Association? KPA is a community of parents dedicated to serving Kirk Day School to benefit students and families. KPA members help plan community events, volunteer at Ditto, support Room Parents, and more.

Is it possible to be involved if I have a busy schedule? Yes! KPA is involved in many different volunteer opportunities with varying time commitments. If you are interested in being involved, please contact the KPA discuss how to get involved.
